My Thoughts On: Pokemon X and YOkay, so I am excited for a few new games coming out. First is Kingdom Hearts III, after what feels like an eternity of waiting. The E3 Trailer didn’t reveal much, but I’m excited for it nonetheless.

Crystals and the Atlantians

Okay. You are probably not going to believe me. Which is fine. But this one is so cool.

I learned as a kid that Atlantis was run on crystals. They had all kinds of cool ancient tech that they used crystals to power it all.

Yes. You heard me right. Crystals. Rocks.

Now, if you wear a watch and it is an analogue one, I want you to look at it. Or an old school analogue wall-clock. Either one should have a word on the dial somewhere. Should say Quartz.

Now, if you don't know, I'll tell ya. Quartz is crystal.

And your mobile/cell phones. They have sim cards in them. And those sim cards have little gold bits. Those gold bits are? Computer chips.

Your computer has them too. And if you drive, you car will have loads of computer chips in them.

And computer chips are made of Silicon. And Silicon is just another name for? Quartz.

Your television will have them, your microwave, everything.

Our entire culture is built up and around these technological bits of crystal.

So, it doesn't seem quite so preposterous that the Atlantians powered their culture with crystals, does it?

Sounds about right. Makes me think of Egypt too... They apparently had a form of light bulbs back then, but they looked like crystals (according to some of their pyramid paintings).
